Qualifying Information and Sport Specifics

All participants, including athletes, coaches, managers, vendors, and spectators, must adhere to the following Code of Conduct to ensure a safe, professional, and inclusive experience at Elite Games. Failure to comply may result in penalties, disqualification, removal from the event, or exclusion from future participation.

Elite Games is dedicated to fostering an environment that is respectful, inclusive, and welcoming to all individuals, irrespective of gender, religion, ethnicity, or disability. This Code of Conduct outlines behavioral expectations and the consequences of non-compliance.

Expected Conduct:

  • Demonstrate professionalism, respect, and sportsmanship at all times.
  • Avoid any form of discriminatory, offensive, or inappropriate behavior.
  • Maintain awareness of your surroundings and report any safety concerns.
  • Interact with athletes, officials, and staff in a respectful manner.
  • Adhere to modest and appropriate dress codes.
  • Park only in designated areas.
  • Be mindful that event facilities may be shared with the general public.

Prohibited Conduct:

  • Harassment or Discrimination: Includes offensive comments, intimidation, stalking, or any form of inappropriate behavior based on gender, race, religion, disability, or other personal characteristics.
  • Physical or Verbal Abuse: Includes threats, intimidation, or any actions that create a hostile environment.
  • Possession of Weapons: Any object that may be used to harm others is strictly prohibited.
  • Vandalism or Property Damage: Will result in immediate disqualification and further penalties.
  • Substance Use: Consumption of alcohol, cigarettes, or any prohibited substances is not allowed.
  • Disruptive Conduct: Includes excessive aggression, profanity, or inappropriate gestures.
  • Respect for Officials: All rulings are final and must not be challenged.
  • Prayer Breaks: Scheduled stoppages will occur to accommodate prayer times.

Consequences of Violations

  • Participants engaging in misconduct may face disciplinary actions, including removal from the event and disqualification from future participation.
  • Depending on the nature of the violation, technical fouls or penalties may be applied.
  • Elite Games enforces a zero-tolerance policy for harassment, abuse, and discrimination.

Consequences of Violations

Violations of the Elite Games Code of Conduct will not be tolerated under any circumstances. All participants—including athletes, coaches, managers, parents, vendors, and spectators—are expected to comply with event rules and uphold the integrity of the competition.

If a participant engages in unacceptable behavior, Elite Games Management reserves the right to take immediate disciplinary action, which may include:

1️⃣ Verbal Warning – Minor infractions may result in a formal warning from event officials or management.
2️⃣ Technical Foul or Penalty – Specific violations may result in a technical foul, which will affect a team’s overall standing.
3️⃣ Immediate Ejection – Severe misconduct may lead to the immediate removal of the participant from the event venue.
4️⃣ Disqualification – Players or teams involved in serious violations may face disqualification from the competition.
5️⃣ Suspension from Future Events – Depending on the severity of the infraction, individuals may be banned from participating in future Elite Games events.

🚨 Zero Tolerance Policy:
The following behaviors will result in immediate action, including possible ejection and disqualification:

  • Abusive language towards officials, staff, participants, or spectators.
  • Harassment (verbal, physical, or online) of any kind.
  • Fighting or physical altercations.
  • Threatening or intimidating behavior towards any participant.
  • Use of racial, religious, or discriminatory slurs.
  • Vandalism or property damage.
  • Possession of weapons or dangerous objects.
  • Consumption of alcohol, drugs, or smoking within the venue.
  • Repeated violations of official rulings or disruptive behavior.

🔹 Impact on Team Standings:

  • Technical fouls and penalties will result in point deductions.
  • If a player or team is disqualified due to violations, all previous and upcoming results may be forfeited.
  • Any team failing to adhere to the Code of Conduct may be barred from playoffs or future events.

🛑 Enforcement & Reporting:

  • Anyone asked to stop unacceptable behavior is expected to comply immediately.
  • Participants witnessing misconduct are encouraged to report it to event organizers.
  • All decisions made by Elite Games Management regarding violations are final and binding.

Uniform Policy:

  • Teams are required to wear matching uniforms.
  • Teams without uniforms may obtain them through Elite Games’ authorized vendors.
  • Non-compliance will result in technical fouls applied per game.
  • Offensive or inappropriate team names must be changed.

Player Eligibility & Trading:

  • Only registered players may participate; unauthorized substitutions are prohibited.
  • Players from eliminated teams may not transfer to active teams.
  • Violations will lead to player ejection and technical fouls.

Age Verification Requirements:

  • Participants must provide valid age verification documents upon request.
  • Failure to present the required documentation may result in disqualification.
  • Age disputes must be resolved before the match begins—no complaints will be entertained post-game.

Point System & Seeding for Playoffs:

  • Win: 3 points
  • Draw: 1 point
  • Loss: 0 points
  • Technical Fouls: Result in point deductions, impacting overall standings.
  • Tiebreaker: Teams will be ranked based on Points – Technical Fouls – Point Differential.

Liability Agreement

All participants, including athletes, coaches, managers, parents, and vendors, must agree to the Elite Games liability disclosure and comply with all event regulations.

Categories

  • Male: U10 (3v3), U13, 14-17 & Open (5v5)
  • Female: U10 (3v3), U13, 14+ (5v5)
    (Note: Not all categories are available at every event.)

Age Verification

To ensure fair competition, participants in specific age categories must provide valid age verification:
✔️ Online Submission: Participants are encouraged to upload their age verification documents during registration.
✔️ Game Day Verification: If a participant has not uploaded their documents, they must present a valid ID before their match.
🚫 Failure to comply will result in disqualification.
📌 Age disputes must be resolved before the game begins—any concerns raised after the final whistle will not be considered.

General Rules & Format

Team Registration & Roster

  • Teams must register a full squad before the event.
  • Max team size: 10 players.
  • Uniforms are mandatory—all players must wear jerseys with matching colors and numbers.
  • Players must wear basketball shoes, and all jewelry must be removed before gameplay.

Game Format

🏀 Full-Court Games (5v5) – Standard Categories

  • Two 15-minute halves with a running clock (clock stops in the last minute).
  • Scoring: 2s & 3s.
  • Overtime: If tied at the end of regulation, teams play a 3-minute overtime. If still tied, the match goes to sudden death (first team to score wins).

🏀 Half-Court Games (3v3) – U10 & U13 Categories

  • First team to 11 points or the team leading after 20 minutes wins.
  • Scoring: 2s & 1s.
  • Tiebreaker: If tied after 20 minutes, each team takes five free throws—whoever scores the most wins.

📌 Point Differential is used for playoff seeding.

Game Rules & Regulations

  • Official Basketball Rules apply—games are officiated by certified referees, and all decisions are final.
  • Grace Period: A 5-minute grace period is given before a forfeit is declared. If a team has fewer than 4 players at the start of a full-court game (or fewer than 2 for a 3v3 match), they will forfeit the match.
  • Timeouts: Each team gets 2 timeouts (1 min each) per half (cannot carry over).
  • Team Fouls: Each player is allowed 5 fouls per game—fouling out results in a turnover.
  • Technical Fouls:
    • Each technical foul counts as a personal foul.
    • Players must sit out for 3 minutes after receiving a technical.
    • A second technical in the same game results in ejection from the tournament.
  • 3-Point Line: High school 3-point lines will be used.
  • Pressing: Full-court press is allowed, but if a team is leading by 20+ points, pressing is not permitted.

Roster & Player Eligibility

  • Players may only play for one team per category.
  • No roster changes after registration.
  • No trading or borrowing players from eliminated teams.
    🚨 Violations will result in player ejection and a team technical foul.

Conduct & Sportsmanship

✔️ All players, coaches, and spectators must uphold respect and fair play.
✔️ Verbal abuse, profanity, harassment, or unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated.
✔️ Drugs, alcohol, and smoking are strictly prohibited on the premises—violators will be disqualified.
✔️ Coaches are responsible for their team’s behavior.

🚫 Consequences of Misconduct:

  • Abusive language, harassment, or fighting → Immediate ejection & potential team disqualification.
  • Destruction of property or disruptive behaviorPermanent ban from Elite Games events.

Point System & Seeding

After the preliminary rounds, teams advance to the playoffs based on:
Total Points – (Minus) Technical Fouls → Point Differential (if tied).

    • 9v9 (Male Open & 30+): Max roster = 14 players
    • 7v7 (Male: U10, U13, U16 | Female: U10, U13, Open):
      Max roster = 12 players
    • 5v5 (Male & Female U7):
      Max roster = 12 players
    • All formats include a goalkeeper.
  • Uniforms:
    • Teams must wear matching jerseys.
    • If two teams have similar colors, a coin toss
      will determine who wears the tournament-provided pinnies.
    • Goalkeepers must wear a distinct color (avoid yellow, as referees wear yellow).
  • Jewelry: No jewelry is allowed except for medical-related items.
  • Shin Guards: Mandatory—players without shin guards will not be allowed to play.

Game Format

Game Duration:

  • All matches: 30-minute running clock.
  • Knockout Stages:
    • Quarter-finals: If tied, goes to 5 penalty kicks per team.
    • Semi-finals: If tied, 15-minute overtime (7.5-minute halves), then 5 penalty kicks (if time allows).
    • Finals: If tied, 20-minute overtime (10-minute halves), then 5 penalty kicks (if time allows).

📌 Forfeits:

  • A 5-minute grace period is given before a forfeit is declared.
  • Teams must be ready 10 minutes before their scheduled game to keep the tournament on time.

📏 Field Sizes: (May vary slightly based on venue)

  • Male U16, Open, 30+: 75×45 yards
  • Male U13 & Female U13/Open: 55×35 yards
  • Male/Female U10: 40×30 yards
  • Male/Female U7: 30×25 yards

Gameplay Rules

  • Substitutions: Unlimited, at referee discretion.
  • Slide Tackles & Playing on the Ground: Not allowed.
  • Free Kicks & Laws: Matches follow FIFA Laws of the Game.
  • Referee Decisions: All calls are final—no abuse (verbal or otherwise) toward referees will be tolerated.
  • No Shirt Removal: Celebratory removal of jerseys is prohibited.

🚫 Code of Conduct:
✔️ Respect all players, coaches, referees, and tournament staff.
✔️ No cursing, fighting, or violence.
✔️ Keep the playing area clean.
✔️ Aggressive behavior will not be tolerated—this is not the World Cup!

General Tournament Rules

✔️ Team Size: Minimum 6 players, maximum 10 players per team.

✔️ Format:

  • Each team plays 3 preliminary games.
  • Top 8 teams advance to the playoffs.


✔️ Match Structure:

  • Matches consist of best-of-3 sets.
  • First two sets to 15 points (win by 2).
  • If needed, the third set is played to 11 points (win by 2).

    ✔️ Court Surface: Matches are played either outdoors on grass
    or indoors in a gym (check your city for venue details).

    ✔️ Certified Officials: All games are officiated by certified referees. Official rulings are final.


✔️ Roster & Eligibility:

  • Teams must play with registered players only.
  • No borrowing or trading players between teams.
  • Players from eliminated teams cannot join other teams still in competition.
  • Violation results in player ejection and a technical foul on the team.

Volleyball Rules

Players & Substitutions


✔️ Libero Rules:

  • Libero can only play in the back-row and cannot attack the ball above the net’s height.
  • Cannot serve, block, or attempt to block.
  • May replace any back-row player without it counting as a substitution.
  • Each team is allowed one Libero, and they may be replaced unlimited times in the back-row only.


✔️ Substitutions:

  • Maximum 15 substitutions per set (per team).
  • Players must check in through the designated substitution zone.
  • Libero Substitutions: Unlimited but only for back-row players.
  • Serving Substitution: A player may serve once per rotation, then must be subbed out.


🚨 Substitution Restrictions:

  • Double Substitution: Two players may be subbed simultaneously if both are in back-row positions.
  • Libero Exception: The Libero cannot replace a front-row player.


Serving Rules
✔️ Serving Order:

  • The server must be behind the end line when serving.
  • Serve must be made within 8 seconds of the referee’s whistle.


✔️ Service Rules:

  • The ball must go over the net and land in-bounds.
  • Net Serve Allowed: If the ball touches the net but lands in-bounds, it is still in play.
  • Foot Fault: The server cannot step on or over the service line.
  • Overhand Serve: The ball must be hit cleanly—no carrying or lifting.


✔️ Scoring System (Rally Scoring):

  • Points awarded on every rally (regardless of which team served).
  • First two sets to 15 points, win by at least 2 points.
  • Third set to 11 points, win by at least 2 points (if necessary).


Hits & Violations


✔️ Hit Limitations:

  • Maximum of 3 touches per team before sending the ball over the net.
  • Double Hit: A player cannot hit the ball twice consecutively, unless blocking.
  • Four Hits Violation: A team using more than 3 hits results in a fault.
  • Lift/Carry Violation: A player cannot lift, carry, or palm the ball—it must be hit cleanly.


Blocking Rules


✔️ Blocking Guidelines:

  • Blocks do not count as one of the three team hits.
  • Only front-row players may block.
  • Illegal Block: A player cannot block or attack a serve.
  • Block Contacts: A player may touch the ball multiple times during a block, but it must be one motion.


Rotation & Positioning


✔️ Rotation Rules:

  • Teams rotate clockwise after winning a serve.
  • Players must be in correct rotational positions at the serve.


✔️ Front-Row vs. Back-Row:

  • Front-row players may attack and block.
  • Back-row players cannot attack above the net’s height unless behind the attack line.
  • Libero stays in the back-row and cannot attack or serve.


🚨 Position Violations:

  • Overlapping: Players cannot overlap positions before the serve.
  • Serve Position Violation: Players must remain in correct positions until after the serve.

Timeouts & Time Rules


✔️ Timeouts:

  • 2 timeouts per set (30 seconds each).
  • Can be called at any time (before, after, or during rallies).

Fouls & Violations


🚨 Net Violations:

  • No player can touch the net with any part of their body or clothing.


🚨 Foot Faults:

  • The server must not step on or over the service line.


🚨 Double Contact:

  • A player may not hit the ball twice in succession, except during a block.


🚨 Overhead Attacks:

  • A back-row player cannot attack above the net if they are in the back-row.


🚨 Invasion Violation:

  • A player cannot reach over the net to attack or block unless the ball is on their side or during a block attempt.
